What is a corner sofa bed with storage?
A corner sofa bed is an L-shaped or U-shaped sofa where one section pulls out or unfolds into a double bed, and the chaise section lifts to reveal a storage compartment for bedding or blankets. It is the most space-efficient way to seat a family, sleep a guest and store the duvet in a single piece of furniture, which is why it is our best-selling sofa type.
L-shape or U-shape?
- L-shaped corner sofas seat four to five and suit most living rooms; choose left- or right-hand facing to match where the wall or window is.
- U-shaped sofas seat six or more and work as a room divider in open-plan spaces.

Sizes and access
Corner sofas are typically 220–300cm on the long side and 150–200cm on the short side; U-shapes run larger. They arrive in two or three sections, so access is usually easier than for a one-piece sofa, but still measure doors, halls and stair turns.
Fabrics
Velvet, chenille and textured fabrics in grey, cream, black, blue, green and mustard; faux-leather options wipe clean. Darker and textured fabrics are most forgiving in busy households.
Using the bed and storage
Pull-out beds are designed for occasional use. Store bedding in the chaise compartment so it is always to hand, and use a mattress topper for longer stays. Lift the chaise lid with both hands and keep the compartment dry.
