Where a console table works
A console table is slim — typically 30–40cm deep — so it fits a hallway, behind a sofa or under a mirror in the dining room without blocking the walkway. Standard height is 75–85cm, level with a dado rail or the back of a sofa.

Styling
Keep it simple: a lamp at one end, a mirror above, and one or two objects. In a hallway, leave the depth clear of the door swing.
Care
Wipe with a damp cloth and use coasters; re-seal natural marble once or twice a year.
