Footstools, pouffes and ottomans
A footstool finishes a seating area: somewhere to put your feet, an extra seat when friends come, and — if it has a lift-up lid — storage for throws and remotes. Our range includes round and square stools (Ben, Whisper), ribbed cylindrical stools and the Ripple storage ottoman in velvet and bouclé.
Getting the height right
For putting your feet up, choose a stool 2–5cm lower than your sofa seat (most sofas are 42–47cm). A storage ottoman at sofa height doubles as a coffee table with a tray on top.
Pairing
Match the fabric of your armchair or sofa, or use the stool to add a colour accent — olive, burgundy and blue against a grey sofa. See also dining benches and bar stools.
