Choosing garden furniture
Decide first whether you want to eat or lounge: a dining set (table and four to six chairs) or a lounge set (sofa, armchairs and coffee table). Our Cove sets come as both, in a natural finish, and the collection also includes Terrace outdoor rugs in diamond patterns to define a patio area.
Materials and weather
Look for powder-coated aluminium or treated frames that won't rust, UV-resistant cushion fabric, and removable cushion covers. Bring cushions in over winter and cover or store frames in the wettest months; a hose-down in spring is usually all the cleaning needed.
Sizing a patio set
A four-seat dining set needs roughly 3m x 3m of patio; a four-seat lounge set with coffee table, 3m x 2.5m. Allow 90cm behind chairs to walk past. For indoor dining sizes see our dining sets.
Outdoor rugs
Terrace outdoor rugs are woven polypropylene that resists rain and fading; hose clean and hang to dry. Pair with any Cove set to anchor the space.
