The Montrose Mushroom Corner Sofabed is the soft mushroom taupe version of the Montrose range, available here as Universal Corner.
How the Montrose is built
The chaise is universal, which is the detail that decides whether a corner sofa fits a room. It assembles with the long side on the left or on the right, so you are not choosing a handing at checkout and you can move the sofa to a different wall — or a different house — without it facing the wrong way.
Underneath the chaise is a hinged ottoman: lift the seat and the whole base is storage, which is where the bedding for the sofabed lives. The seat itself pulls forward to open a 192cm by 120cm sleeping area, wide enough for two adults, and the headrests fold up to 98cm or drop to 83cm so the sofa can sit under a window without blocking the light.
It is upholstered in a soft textured fabric over rolled arms, with a chrome strip along the top of each headrest and low block feet. The footprint is 239cm by 165cm at 99cm deep.

Mushroom bridges grey and beige, which makes it useful when a room already mixes both. It sits well against warm white walls and natural wood.

How do I clean it? Vacuum weekly on a low setting and blot spills immediately with a clean dry cloth. Keep the sofa out of prolonged direct sunlight, which fades textured fabric unevenly. Never use solvent or bleach-based cleaners. Open and close the bed mechanism smoothly with the seat clear of cushions and bedding rather than forcing it.

Before you order, please measure. Check the width and height of doorways, hallways, stairwells and any tight turns on the route to the room. Most of our sofas arrive in sections or with removable feet, but corner and U-shape units are large single pieces — the dimensions for each part are listed under Dimensions below.
Full dimensions for this model are listed in the description above. Measurements are taken at the widest and deepest points including arms and cushions, and may vary by up to 2cm as every frame is finished by hand.
Assembly is minimal — typically the feet screw on by hand and corner or modular sections clip together. No tools are needed for most models. Recliner and electric models are supplied ready to use; simply connect the supplied transformer to a standard socket.
Velvet
Brush the pile gently in one direction and vacuum on a low upholstery setting every couple of weeks. Blot spills immediately with a clean dry cloth — never rub, as this crushes the pile. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to prevent fading.
Bouclé & Chenille
Vacuum with an upholstery brush, never a beater bar, which can pull the loops. Snagged loops should be trimmed level with scissors, not pulled. Blot spills with a barely damp cloth and allow to air dry.
Genuine Leather
Dust weekly with a dry microfibre cloth and condition every 6–12 months with a quality leather cream to keep the hide supple. Keep at least 30cm from radiators and direct heat sources, which dry and crack the surface.
PU & Faux Leather
Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid solvents, bleach, alcohol wipes and abrasive cleaners. Keep away from direct heat and prolonged sunlight.
All fabrics
Rotate and plump loose seat and back cushions weekly so they wear evenly. Foam and fibre fillings settle by up to 10% in the first few months — this is normal and not a fault.
Every sofa carries a 5-year guarantee on the frame and a 1-year guarantee on the mechanism, springs and electrics against manufacturing faults.
