About the Louis collection
The Louis is one of GalaxiMart's signature dining table designs: a classic square or rectangular marble table with a sculpted, flared pedestal base that suits both traditional and modern dining rooms. It is our most popular and most widely stocked design, available from 100cm up to 200cm, which is why it comes in more sizes and top colours than any other range. Every Louis table is sold on its own or as a complete set with our velvet dining chairs, and every order includes free UK delivery.
Sizes and seating
As a rule of thumb, allow 60cm of table edge per person and 90cm of clearance behind each chair.
- 100cm square and 1.2m: four seats, ideal for kitchen-diners and flats
- 1.4m–1.6m: four to six seats, the most popular size for family dining rooms
- 1.8m–2m: six to eight seats, with room for ten at a squeeze on 2m tables

Table top options
Louis tables are available in grey, white, cream and black marble, plus Pandora marble and the black & gold and cream & gold finishes that made the design popular. The base is finished in gold, black or white to match.
Caring for a marble or stone dining table
Care depends on what the top is made of, so check the product page first.
- Natural marble is porous. Wipe spills straight away (wine, citrus and coffee can etch it), clean with a pH-neutral cleaner and a soft cloth, use placemats and coasters, and re-seal once or twice a year.
- Sintered stone and ceramic tops are non-porous, heat- and scratch-resistant, and need only a damp cloth. No sealing required.
- Never drag a table across the floor — lift it, and keep heavy items off the overhang.
Matching chairs and other pieces
The Louis pairs naturally with our lion-knocker and buttoned-back velvet chairs in cream and mink, light grey, dark grey, black, blue or pink, and many sets include a matching bench.
