Why choose a square dining table?
A square table puts every seat the same distance from the middle, which makes conversation easy and suits square rooms and kitchen corners. Our square sets are led by the 100cm Louis (four seats) with 120cm options for four to six.
Will it fit?
As a rule of thumb, allow 60cm of table edge per person and 90cm of clearance behind each chair so people can sit down and walk past. A 100cm square table needs roughly 2.8m x 2.8m of floor space with chairs pulled out; a 120cm square needs 3m x 3m. If the room is long and narrow, a rectangular table from our 1.2m or 1.4m collections uses the space better; if you want no corners at all, see the 1.1m round sets.

Caring for a marble or stone table top
Care depends on what the top is made of, so check the product page first.
- Natural marble is porous. Wipe spills straight away (wine, citrus and coffee can etch it), clean with a pH-neutral cleaner and a soft cloth, use placemats and coasters, and re-seal once or twice a year.
- Sintered stone and ceramic tops are non-porous, heat- and scratch-resistant, and need only a damp cloth. No sealing required.
- Never drag a table across the floor — lift it — and keep heavy items off the overhang.
