About our living room rugs
Our rug range covers every style: deep 3D shaggy and carved rugs for softness, plain Mayfair, Boston, Dazzle and Indigo rugs in single colours, modern Nova, Spectra, Balletto and Bianco patterns, traditional Sherborne and Orient medallions, and faux fur for bedrooms. Most come in three or four sizes from 80x150cm to 200x290cm. A rug anchors a seating area, softens hard floors and adds warmth underfoot. Choose plain for a busy room and pattern for a neutral one.
Choosing the right rug size
In a living room the rug should be big enough for at least the front legs of the sofa and chairs to sit on it — 160x230cm for a two-seater layout, 200x290cm or larger for a corner sofa. Under a dining table, allow 60–70cm beyond the table edge on every side so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out. Beside a bed, a 120x170cm runner each side or one large rug under the bottom two-thirds of the bed.
Matching a rug to your furniture
Pick up one colour from the sofa or chairs — grey with a grey velvet dining set, blush with pink chairs, cream with the gold collection. Plain rugs suit patterned upholstery; patterned rugs suit plain sofas. Caring for your rug
Vacuum weekly without the beater bar on deep pile, blot spills immediately with a clean cloth, and rotate the rug twice a year so it wears evenly. Use an anti-slip underlay on hard floors. Most of our rugs are polypropylene or polyester, which are colourfast and can be spot-cleaned with mild detergent.
